Country Pines is a 250 acre property in the foothills of the Tararua ranges. It has been in the Campion family for many decades and is currently owned by Sue & Brian.
They have converted the original family hut into a glamping site and is located close to the entrance. Brian has built a rustic hilltop lodge at the top end of the property, with views extending from the Otaki gorge to the sea.
Sue’s father, John Campion, originally planted the land himself by hand and after three rotations of pine trees, the land has been transitioned into Manuka for the bees, Macrocarpa and Pine for timber. More recently, the land has enabled the space to be shared with others.
Brian and Sue, along with their children, Kate and Simon, have worked to open up this special space for others to enjoy and share.
